CHANDELIER.

It glistens from the exteriors and illuminates the hall,
But dusty and cobwebbed, the interior.
Now I wonder why they say she is magnificent and all.

"He who buries his head in the deeds of his past
Shall not see the good in the future"
But our tomorrow is drowned  in the noise of "once there was".

Chandeliers and the illuminating darkness.
A means to an end we hear
But this is an end to its goal.

We want no more drums beating "GIANT OF AFRICA".
What was done yesterday let us see at play today again;
A giant stamps his feet at all times, not on yesterdays.

Do not be a chandelier dear homeland:
The outer part glistening, shiny and sparkling
But the innermost dirty, dusty and displaced.
