Why Me?

I can't withstand the guilt and conscience
Of taming the beast with my damsel,
Releasing her unto the storm of life,
Of which she couldn't subdue.

My heart is filled with sorrow,
Sadness occupies my mind,
Streams of tears flows down my cheek,
My eyeballs are painted red.

Distance, oh! Why me,
Why have you decided to feast on me?
Your teeth sinks deep into my flesh,
River of blood originates from me.

Distance has belched amidst us,
It's stench made us part.
All the feelings became memories,
That can't be brought alive.

The beast has devoured
My once blossoming flower
With no hope of resurrection.
Oh! Why me.

I am Emmanuel.
