THEME: MIRAGE

BRENDA MARTHA

TITLE: MIRAGE 

Taking out the canvas and brushes

With an empty mind and soft strokes

He splashed paint on the canvas

Creating a world of mirage

A land of dunes and salines

Transforming sands into an empire 

Psychologically fabricating a land

Of happy faces and healthy cows

His world got no tribe but a people of love

A moralistic stance on the implicit ethics

Governing systems that build up 

Rather than destroy the common man

He painted scorpions

Friendlier than his friends and family 

True equality emanated from the canvas 

And a free of crime society ruled

Tall buildings and smooth roads 

All running round the picture 

There was no reflection of reality 

But the illusion of a country man

For his nation.
