THEME: MIRAGE

OLAWUYI BLESSING

TITLE:THEME: "gods of Africa(Eulogy)"
TITLE: SÀNGÓ

Sàngó Olúkòsó!
The wildfire of the jungle,
In whose house the thunder resides.
Who dare talk about you in dry season;
Calls for dry war of thunder.

Sàngó Olúkòsó!!
To you I've come for protection,
Oh my father;
Kill those who want me dead,
Before the wake of the morning.
Kill all my enemy with the thunder,
Without giving their last breathe a break.

Sàngó Olúkòsó!!!
To you I will offer bitter kola for more life;
And to your enemy shall be the bitterness of life,
Sickness, sorrow, and short life.
Who ever wish you good,
Shall see good.
And who ever think of hating you,
Shall see their end like grasses in the dry season.

OLANIYI OLOLADE

TITLE; HOMAGE TO THE gODs

gods are lyrics,
Songs on the tongues of the living,
For when men become strayed shadows,
Finding their feet on this snowy path,
gods become living spirits,
Guiding men's ways to the promise land.

I pay homage to Osun Sengese, Oloya iyun...
The godess of a living water,
That flows with florishness and wealth,
Cleansing our infirmities into purity.
The mothers to all little babies,
Weaving them into stars for the sky.

I pay homage to Ogun, baba-irin,
The god of iron, voice over animals in the jungle.
He goes to the forest and comes out with millions of animals,
He who moulds himself into light for hunters,
Guilding their paths into their night games.

I pay homage to Sango, Olukoso,
The god of thunder and lightening,
The voice over evil doers.
He who reveal the hidden robbers publicly
With his raging fire and thunderstorms.

I pay homage to Obatala,
The great artist among deities.
He who moulds clay into living statue,
With a priceless breath from Eledumare,
The God over other gods.

In all and all,
I pay homage to Ori, my all in all,
The guardian. Interpreter of our dreams.
He who knows what has become of us,
And what will become of us.
Ori,the gods over other deities!
