Why is Akwa Ibom state having 31 LGAs while Rivers state has 23 LGAs? The 2006 census told us that Rivers has 5.1 million population while Akwa Ibom has 3.9 million. What then is the reason for this divisively skewed political arrangement?

Kano has 9.4 million population and 44 LGAs while Lagos has 9.1 million population and 20 LGAs. What sort of calculation produced this LGAs allocations?

This is the reason I am opposed to LGA autonomy. I see it as a clever attempt to legitimise a corrupt, retrogressive, oppressive political structure and a smokescreen for restructuring.
