THE GHANAIAN SPORT; A PRODUCT OF THE EVIL FORCES OF CORRUPTION AND INCOMPETENCE.

What will remain perturbing in the heart of sincere Ghanian sports lover and sports men is the recent telecast given by the GTV on the current state of sporting activities in the country. And so the refusal of the Ghanian sport administrators to learn and improve, brings to relevance the paraphrased words of Bernard Shaw when he said "...the only thing man has learnt from history, is that he has refused to learn anything at all".

Ghana no doubt has made great marks in the history of sports. Amongst these marks was the 1962 Perth Commonwealth in Australia where she presented five wanfinalist in the boxing activity. The nation eventually won two gold and three silver medals as rightly stated by the (kwamiGyasi/macgyasi@gmail.com) source. Of Course what one would have expected is an improvement but the reverse is the case.

This recent telecast showed how the Athletic event which took place in a stadium at Sekondi involved  athletes running on a track without any markings for athletes to identify their lanes...,Yes! you heard me right(track without markings). Years back Ghanaians would sleep at stadiums overnight to secure tickets. How does the Ghanian sport administrators rekindle such Interest and enthusiasm on the part of Ghanians amidst the gargantuan degree of corruption and incompetence ravaging the Ghanian sport? This remains a conundrum.

All hope is not lost for that true Ghanian sport administrator at whatever level who must make a change even when it means making more enemies. This is why I close with the words of Bernard Shaw who said "...the secret to success is to offend many people " and " ....doing what needs to be done, might not make you happy, but it will make you a great man".
