The Buhari/Apc Administration Has No Direction. It Is On Autopilot.

The Buhari/APC administration has no direction. It is on autopilot. Sorry to say this but just last month Mrs Aisha Buhari promised that the lion will soon  return to chase the hyenas and jackals out of the animal kingdom. How come just a few rats have now chased the lion out of it's den? Does it mean that the lion's handlers cannot find any other reasonable explanation on why the lion fled the den, public eyes?

President Buhari is to blame for the catastrophic outing of his APC government in the past two years. He picked an atrocious cabinet after waiting for 6 whole months. His kitchen cabinet is made up of so  many unskilled and  unschooled individuals that you wonder if there are no individuals with average intelligence in his party or his favourite regions.

If there are no such persons within, why can't he go beyond this enclave to pick qualified people into his cabinet for his own sake and that of Nigeria?

Where are the bright, creative chaps in his government to come up with the big ideas to solve the nation's numerous problems?

Who among his appointees can we say is exceptional or even good enough for his or her role in government?

In the previous administration, we could point out the Minister of Finance; Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Minister of Agriculture; Akinwumi Adesina, DG of SEC; Arunma Oteh et al as being more than brilliant. We have also  seen them take bigger roles in world renowned  institutions immediately they left the previous government.

Who among those manning our ministries and federal institutions now is good enough to move up to such higher responsibility abroad? Parochialism finished Buhari and his APC.

See how Akinwumi Adesina went to Enugu to pick Prof Kevin Chika Urama as the AfDB's Senior Policy Advisor on Inclusive and Green Growth.Prof Urama's 'thesis received the 2002/2003 James Claydon Prize for the most outstanding Ph.D thesis in economics or related subjects at St. Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge, among many other distinctions.' Read up on  this man's dossier on your own.

Dr Adesina knew he can't afford to underperform at AfDB and let Africa down so he went for the  most competent persons to advise him, shunning nepotism.

I hope Nigerian will learn the ugly effects of nepotism from this government.
