WHO AM I?

Who am I, I-Am-BLACK. Black is my colour, black is my nature, Black is my past tense, black is my present, and when I looked into my my future I realised I am still black. So dear white I hope you understand to put your ego to the ground, that we aren't mate although you might be academically sound. I wish I could tell you this, but who am I to look into your eye? I am only a kid writer who used poem as a starter.

My age isn't 20 neither is it 15, but no matter the range I still have my instincts. I still can recall how you made me feel bad about my colour, with your words unclad. How you referred me to an ape and took me for a fool, forgetting God made me and everything he made, he made them wonderful. I wish I could tell you this, but who am I to look into your eye? I am only a kid writer who used poem as a starter.

You tortured my fathers and threatened my mothers, stealing our riches you opened our borders, because, blackness was what you hated and despised, yet you lived amongst us, that you can't deny. So why the false complains and claims, why not accept fate since you know we aren't mate. I wish I could tell you this dear white, but who am I to look into your eye? I am only a kid writer who used poem as a starter.

In everything you claim to be better than me, in all circumstances no matter what the situation might be. You feel you're the best raised above the sky, and invaluable that no amount can buy. Pride became your shirt and overconfidence became your trousers, spreading your shame across the borders. I wish I could tell you this, but who am I to look into your eye? I am only a kid writer who used poem as a starter.

You disgrace is rising with the sun as I tell the tale of your lost culture, revealing the face of my own culture, telling the world, black is my nature. Your doom is approaching with you unaware, caused by your negligence to my rising culture, soaring high to the sky like the vulture, and it would be more than you can bare. I wish I could tell you this dear white, but who am I to look into your eye? I am only a kid writer who used poem as a starter.

My culture is my strength, my pride and with what I breath. I am Black, I am Black, I am Black, and with that I am as happy as a lark, but dear white I wish I could say this to your face and still retain peace, but who am I to look into your eye? I am only a kid writer who used poem as a starter.

Dear white now I know my power, and my mission is to build a tower. That is filled with the mystery of my culture and the wonderful tales of my nature. God bless me, God bless  you, God bless all Africans across the globe, God bless the 54 countries in Africa, God bless Africa.
