Death Teaches

This isn't a poem but a piece,
For in it dwells a bitter peace.
This isn't a song but a dirge,
To be sung at my grave's edge.

This isn't an hymn but an elegy,
Written before sunset's prevailing energy.
Thus, this isn't a lullaby but an eulogy
For in death's teachings lies melody.
