AS A YOUTH, MY ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MY COUNTRY(NIGERIA).
The economic condition in Nigeria today encourages crimes. It takes the grace of God for Nigeria citizens to have the fear of God in them to shun crime in this recession period.
With the No-job syndrome in Nigeria at present, so many people have taken to crime in order to survive. The generation of the present Nigerian youths is a very unlucky one as nothing works well again, making life become the survival of the fittest. Sincerely, all hands should be on deck to revive Nigeria. This call is specifically for the youths to join hands to salvage Nigeria. The government can't do it alone, otherwise they would have done that long ago. We youths shouldn't fold our hands and watch our country perish, we must not allow corruption to destroy the country, we the youths should be able to fight anything that is against the development of our nation. There are millions of ways in which every patriotic and worthy youth can contribute to the growth of Nigeria, only if we are ready to serve.
During my interview with a young secondary school graduate, she talked extensively on the various roles she had played and still playing towards the development of Nigeria.
This are the words of a seventeen year old Nigerian somewhere in the western region of the country, if she can achieve all this at her tender age, why can't you? Make that decision today to shun crime and aid the development of your Nation. Let's join hands together to make Nigeria great, it is part of our National anthem, so let that lead us in our fight for survival. God bless me, bless you, God bless Nigeria.

" Firstly, After her graduation, she established a farm where she reared rams, and chickens. In the farm according to her are Seven male and females which she employed to attend to the animals, and in this way, unemployment has been reduced through her in the little way she could. Also, generation of revenue to her also from products of the farm that's being sold out.
I am a law abiding citizen and it disgusts me when I hear that someone commits crime, especially when it involves the vandalization of government properties. To help the law enforcement agency to curb such crime, I enlisted into a few group of youths who help in the reporting criminals caught in the act to the necessary authorities.
I get myself involved in anything that would make me eschew casualties, hence I joined Nigeria Red Cross Society, an non governmental organization that rescues accident victims and give them the immediate required first aid attendance before taking them to the hospital if need still be.
Although it is a voluntary organization that doesn't pay salary, I had once sumptuously gained from it, when I saved a nineteen year old lady from committing suicide, and aftermath her father gave me his so-called token, but which served as my capital in starting up my farm. A double edged success! I made a fortune and simultaneously saving a life.
Also, I have tried my best in reducing the rate of teenage pregnancy in the society. This I achieved by touring around schools in my community and giving them short talks and eye opener towards the risk of teenage pregnancy.
In conclusion my fellow youths, the earlier all of us starts thinking about the good we can do for our country and not what the government can do for us, the better Nigeria becomes."
